About Cutaneous Ulcers

Cutaneous skin ulcers (examples such as venous stasis ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, burn site wounds, donor sites) are open wounds that fail to heal properly in an orderly and timely manner. These wounds tend to persist, even after weeks or months, particularly when the underlying cause is not treated. Left untreated these wounds can exposed a patient to infection, physical discomfort and possibly disfigurement.

Types of therapeutic options sought would provide an incidence of complete wound closure, accelerated wound closure, facilitation of surgical closure and/or improved quality of healing.
